Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns are usually referred to as “dental caps” or “tooth caps”. There are several uses of crowns/bridges. Chipped/ broken/ missing/ root canal treated teeth are some cases that require crowns/bridges. The type/ form of crowns is entirely subjective, and can only be decided on an oral examination. At our dental lounge, a comprehensive examination is done prior to any treatment.
We do spend time with you to explain the condition and the various options that would suit you perfectly.

Earlier crowns were purely made of metal, and, like silver fillings, did not give a satisfying look. (However, they are still being used!) We, at the Goa Dental Lounge, use porcelain fused to metal and metal- free crowns, which blend well with the rest of your teeth and appear natural (i.e. unless you insist on a metal crown).

Some porcelain fused to metal crowns show a blackish line at the gum margin, and can be quite unpleasing in the front teeth.

In the dental lounge, you have an option to change these crowns to new ones and get your pleasant smile restored! And it just takes 2 short appointments, 3-4 days apart!!!

You can opt for metal free crowns which are much more aesthetic than the others.

When more than one crown is joined together as a unit, it is called a bridge. A bridge is usually used when teeth are missing, or adjacent teeth require crowns.

If you are a suitable candidate for crowns/ bridges, we can assure that you will feel like a completely new person with a dazzling new smile and improved confidence!
